6 Signs People Around You Dislike Your Life Decisions

Life Decisions

We all know the saying “If you do not piss somebody off, then the chances are that you are doing it wrong”, and for a good reason – meaningful and successful actions will always annoy the world around you. Although your friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances may not directly express their disapproval when it comes to your professional or personal life choices, there are some obvious signs that are worth a thousand words – and you should certainly look for them, if you want to find out who is your friend and who is your foe. Here are some of the most notable signs that people really do not approve of your life decisions:

1. They Constantly Expect You To Be Someone You Are Clearly Not

People who truly understand, love and accept you for who you are will never try to change anything about you. In the end, they love you for all your perfect imperfections – they do not love you because they have a certain image of you in their mind, and they want you to adhere to it, otherwise that would no longer be love but a selfish desire. If your friends or relatives are subtly “suggesting” you to do certain things or they want to you become someone you are not, that should get you thinking.

Ultimately, you must always do whatever you think is best for you, not what others think is best for you. Always keep an eye on people who try to change you, and eliminate them from your life whenever you find them – it is a lot better to lose a friendship or a relationship instead of losing yourself. If people do not agree with your life decision, they are always free to do. Life is too short to be playing a role or to try and please those that surround you!

2. People No Longer Make Time For You

Have you noticed that your friends no longer make time for you, even though you are always there for them whenever you need them? Although people tend to take a step back for countless different reasons (some of which are purely personal and have nothing to do with you), in some cases people may try to distance themselves from you simply because they do not approve of your life decisions. One thing is for sure, though: you must never trust and worry too much about the wrong people. If you noticed that those who used to be very dear to your heart started to grow cold and distant, then accept it and move on. Everything comes down to knowing your worth, and knowing when it is time to let go!
